Hi Ben,
I caught your performance in Cardiff yesterday and was totally captivated with it. I spent quite a long time watching you, while waiting for someone, and was determined that sooner or later you'd be bound to slip up somewhere in your act, but you didn't and I was very impressed. It's a brilliant act you have and quite unique imo. I loved how the kids would be captivated not really knowing what to think, then just laughing..in fear or amusement, I'm not sure, but they made me laugh too. I especially loved how you handled all the ****** coming up to you and how they'd quickly leave, all embarrassed and a bit intimidated - brilliant! When I finally met up with the rest of my group, I persuaded them to come and watch, but unfortunately you'd gone by then. Unfortunately I can't hire you as I probably couldn't afford you..plus..I've nothing happening to hire anyone for anyway! haha..but I've been telling some of my internet friends about you, and hope to come and see you perform again sometime soon. Anyway, thanks for making a cold and stressful shopping day much more fun!
Take Care, Sarah

Just to say - saw u lots of times in cardiff centre - always thought u were great and different... one of the few i ever throw 20p to haha... v clever... also saw u getting ready one day in capitol and thought "ahhh he really is real..." I have kids 6 and 4 and they love it but hate it for obv reasons :o) but always want to toss a coin... thats what i think is different people pay to see and expect rather than paying for what they have saw/heard!! ingenious... U gave me a card today so thought id check ur site and then fire an email... its good u enjoy it so keep it up, shame about the odd delinquent that deems it necessary to try and get more attention than u :o)
peace ben! K

Ben
Just to say, I and the grandchildren always love your
performances in Cardiff City Centre. Also enjoyed the website, which I visited for the
first time today (having spotted the address on the front of your
'plinth' yesterday). [...]

You are without a doubt the most amazing 'living statue' I've ever seen. I saw a fair few in London and Paris, but none compare to your act. Unlike many/most, you don't wear a mask, and your perfectly timed facial expressions add so much. You are the one person that I am happy to give money to while walking down Queen Street. You're just a man, there is no hidden trickery, yet I still don't know how you keep so still, or move the way you do, and frankly I don't want to. Please keep up your incredible act.

Hi there, just wanted to say congrats on the great street show you put on every saturday. I work in a shop just opposite where you perform and spend most of the day (when I'm not serving) watching your routine. I hope you get this message as I wanted to express my appreciation for what you do. Perhaps my favourite part is when you pick nits out of young children's hair! Anyways, all the best and keep up the good work.

Hello Ben, I would like to say thank you very much for making my four year old daughter smile and for me, as a parent, seeing my child being absolutely mesmerised by your encapsulating act. On a typical frustrating shopping day (not very pleasant for a adult, even more so as a young kid) ending on a high when my daughter finally plucked up the courage to place money in your collection pot. Just to see the reaction on her face when you acknowledged her by blowing her a kiss, you could see that you made her feel as if she was the only person in the crowd, and for me a very happy dad. There is no doubt as soon as we go back to Cardiff on another tedious shopping trip, I know where my side kick and myself heading for. Thank you very much, keep it up
Rob.

Hello Ben ~ I came to Cardiff on Saturday on November 28th. I gave you some money to which you bent forward and pretended to ride a bike by making your hands on an imaginary handle bars and revving them. I did have a chat with you about modelling for an art class as I have done this for 18 years, so I know how difficult it is to stand still in any position for a long time, you have a certain manner with your audience, you know how to win them over and this makes you an excellent performer... I put my hands together for you, I could've watched you all day, you got my attention. I am home now after a wet three days away, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet you and talk to you even though it was briefly. You are a very talented young man... well done.
